WOMEN'S HEALTH

 Johanna has been encouraging us to show up, however we can, whenever we can. Prepared or unprepared, to be engaged with our representatives and to encourage our friends and neighbors to do the same. The health & safety of our city is in our hands, and if we do not choose to participate, we lose the opportunity to steer our representatives towards a city that considers the needs of women.

A community built by women: A woman's participation in community meetings will have a positive effect in our community. A county built by women: A County Committee meeting filled with women will benefit everyone in Manhattan. A city built by women: Women in attendance at a city council meeting lay the foundation for a city women can navigate. We must exploit every opportunity to be heard if we want to see the changes we need in our city and on our neighborhood's streets.

Take the challenge, attend your City Council, Community Board, Comm Education Council, Precinct Comm Council or Manhattan Dems meetings... inevitably you will find ways to shape the future of this city for all women.
