Marjorie Miller will lead us in an interactive Poetry Night. She is a writer of poetic verse and has taught in NYC to all ages, from pre-school to graduate school and for twenty years worked in adult education. Writing is a powerful form of self-care that allows you to pause, process your emotions, and gain clarity without judgment. Research shows that expressive writing can help manage anxiety, reduce stress, and improve overall mental and physical well-being.
Marjorie Miller has lived in Inwood for almost thirty years. As a writer, she has won many awards for her poetry and has published three collections of her work. Marjorie is sought after for her engaging public readings, where the audience is encouraged to participate.
Marjorie taught in New York City for forty years, in Montessori pre-school, and in elementary & high schools. Her college and graduate school level work includes seven years at St. John's University as well as 1-1 work with Columbia University graduate students. Marjorie's most fulfilling work lasted forty years - teaching adult education students, her dream job.
Marjorie has also created and implemented ESOL lessons to teach adults to write Haiku, and to understand and discuss English song lyrics, and has presented these lessons at educational workshops.

We discuss topics central to women's health and well being, we share about our businesses and community initiatives and support one another. Ladies Lemonade is not a 501 c organization. We are simply women, meeting up in Manhattan.
